VCARD Honors Award Recipients at 34th Annual Banquet

The Volusia County Association for Responsible Development and its Flagler County Chapter are pleased to announce Volusia County Council member Ms. Deb Denys as our 2019 Citizen of the Year. The recipient of this award has shown to be a good steward of the community; Deb exemplifies stewardship in her ongoing efforts to promote water quality investments. Additionally, she works to fulfill the vision for a thriving commercial aviation and aerospace industry in Volusia County which would lead to high-impact jobs and improved quality of life for all residents.

The marketplace of ideas works when citizens and their government representatives deliberate together even if with opposing points of view. It is through such constructive engagement that new ideas and innovative policy solutions can emerge. These forums for discussion are a mainstay of the Volusia County Association for Responsible Development and its Flagler County Chapter and part of its rich history of collaboration between the private and public sector. No member has ensured this productive interaction more than Mr. Ray Tyner, Deputy Chief Development Officer for the City of Palm Coast.
